English Writing 3
Over the summer session, third grade students will be writing personal narratives, descriptive writing pieces, and friendly letters. They will study the traits of a friendly letter as well as the six traits of writing, applying them to their writing and weekly revisions. By the end of the session, each student will produce a final draft that will be shared with classmates. Along with writing, editing, and revising, students will learn vocabulary words and incorporate these words into their writing. Working on these and other various strategies will assist students in producing successful writing and in beginning the third grade with increased confidence and ability.
