Public Speaking 6-8
The ability to speak in front of a class is crucial as students enter junior
high and high school. Teachers frequently assign group presentations, and grades
are hinged on how information is presented. This small class of 10 students will
focus on the principles of effective public speaking. Students will prepare
speeches for homework and present demonstration and informational speeches in
front of the class. Students will receive a critique of each speech. This class
will help students gain the much-needed confidence they need to shine in front
of a class or group in middle and high school.
