High School Chemistry Readiness
The course will cover the most common topics in chemistry such as
Stoichiometry, Chemical bonding, Chemical Reactions, Atomic structures and
others. Students will be assigned homework to enhance the understanding of each
topic covered. Proper use of dimensional analysis in problem solving will be
emphasized. This class should greatly enhance the students' understanding of Honors Chemistry. When they begin this difficult class in
the Fall, they should be ahead.
High School Biology Readiness
This course will introduce all the major concepts of
Biology. Such topics include: ecology, evolution, cell structure, basic
biochemical compounds, body systems, and genetics. In addition, instruction
will include tips and tricks for writing strong laboratory reports. There is
homework to help reinforce the concepts taught in class. This class aims to
develop a strong foundation in biology in preparation for the coming school
year, whether you are taking Regular or Honors Biology.
An additional lab fee may be requested when signing up
for this course. A determined lab fee will be announced shortly.
