Winter/Spring Session -
Science |
Honors Biology Tutorial (MSJ)
Students enrolled in 9th grade honors biology at
Mission San Jose High School will be helped weekly with the subject matter.
Weekly material is reviewed, students have their questions answered, and they
complete homework they may not understand. This class is designed to help
students keep up with the challenging curriculum of Accelerated Bio.
AP Biology Tutorial (MSJ)
For the Advanced Placement Biology Tutorial weekly
material is discussed, students have their questions answered, and they complete
homework they may not understand at first. This class is designed to help
students keep up with the college level depth and pace synonymous with AP
courses. An additional emphasis will be added for the test's required laboratory
knowledge.
Regular Chemistry Tutorial
Major topics that will be covered in the winter/spring
session will include: solutions, kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases,
electrochemistry, and thermodynamics. The stress will be on problem solving
skills. Student questions about class lectures, assignments, labs, preparing for
tests, and projects will be answered. This course is designed to help boost the
student's confidence in Chemistry.

Regular
Physics Tutorial
The class will emphasize understanding physics
concepts and how to apply mathematical equations in solving problems. Student
questions about class lectures, assignments, labs, preparing for tests, and
projects will be answered.
AP Physics Tutorial
This class will assist students who are enrolled in AP Physics to
understand the material more clearly. Lecture, question and answer, and student
participation will enable AP Physics students to improve their quiz and test
scores, along with performing well on the AP Physics test in May, 2010.
