Ms. Skye Kovach

Skye Kovach is an Irvington High School alumna, graduating as her class valedictorian in 1996. She majored in Philosophy at Grinnell College in Iowa, earning a place in the Phi Beta Kappa honors society and graduating with honors. In addition to her studies, she participated in Cross Country and Track and Field, and she still holds the Grinnell College outdoor triple jump record. Skye has California teaching credentials in both English and Physical Education as well as CLAD and GATE certification. She taught English at Irvington High School for five years, and she is currently teaching Physical Education at Hopkins Junior High and coaching Cross Country at Irvington High School. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and long distance running.
