Mr. Jim Payette
Jim Payette, a retired science
educator from Fremont Unified School District , is extremely pleased to join the
Mill Creek Academy staff. Mr. Payette was formerly the Science Department Chair
at Mission San Jose High School. He believes it is a honor to join such an
esteemed "Academic Achievement Business." Mr. Payette's teaching experience at
Mission San Jose High School included the following: AP Biology,
Anatomy/Physiology, College Prep Biology, Honors Biology, Photography, Art, and
coaching various sports. His Bachelor of Science is from Cal State University,
East Bay and his Master's degree is from the University of San Francisco. Jim
was recognized in Newsweek magazine as one of the top 100 teachers in the United
States. He is looking forward to meeting new students at Mill Creek Academy.
Mr. Payette enjoys his biological sciences and spends time teaching his
grandchildren the beauty that nature has to offer and also to inspire us daily.
Jim spends a fair amount of his time at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, as well as in
Yosemite hiking and photographing nature's beauty.
